Praise for Stupid Fast:

“Whip-smart and painfully self-aware, Stupid Fast is a funny and agonizing glimpse into the teenage brain. Young readers looking for a genuinely memorable first—person narrator—in the vein of Sherman Alexie’s Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian or Pete Hautman’s Godless—should really catch up to Stupid Fast this summer.” —Minneapolis Star Tribune

Praise for Nothing Special:

“Felton’'s voice is fresh and believable as a teen on the edge of manhood. Boys especially will discover kindred spirits in Felton and Andrew. Kudos to Herbach for this deep, moving, LOL funny, and completely original story.” —School Library Journal

For The Press
Hi. I'm Geoff. I write books. I finished a three book series from Sourcebooks Fire about Felton Reinstein, a dork turned jock. Stupid Fast, Nothing Special, and I'm with Stupid are available at stores everywhere. In May of 2014, you'll find Fat Boy vs the Cheerleaders wherever books are sold.

When I'm not writing books, I teach writing at Minnesota State, Mankato. There I focus on fiction and long story both in script and book form.

When I'm not writing YA books or teaching writing, I write scripts for various performances. In the past I've written for Electric Arc Radio, Radio Happy Hour, Powderkeg Live and The Lit 6 Project. I co-wrote the musical Don't Crush Our Heart. I wrote the literary novel The Miracle Letters of T. Rimberg. And I'm working with grad students right now to make a prompt-driven short story show called Tales from the Poor House, which is broadcast on KMSU radio.

Need rights? I'm represented by Jim McCarthy at Dystel and Goderich.

Other than that, I have two perfect kids, Leo and Mira, and a very tall wife named Steph.
